Okay, I know I am in the minority, but I have to express my concerns for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. To begin with, allow me to stress that I KNOW IT IS AN ADAPTATION...BUT, when PoA was able to include so much more I could not find space in my heart to forgive what the director did to GoF.
To begin with:
DUMBLEDORE
This was may favourite character in both the books and movies...I love him in the first, second and even third movie...but my view of him was shattered in GoF. Since when is Dumbledore always yelling, since when does he have a complete lack of humour that Rowling intended the character to have, since when does he sit on his office floor and voice his concern that he 'does not know what to do'? The notion of Dumbledore NOT BEING a steadfast, wise, controlled character is absolutely ridiculous ( ... )

Keep the notebook safe for christmas time please. We have much work to do upon arrival, and I fear that its completion will be hindered by......booze. Ah well. A man's gotta drink.
