FUZZIES!!!

Yep, the day arrived, a day that I've been waiting for since about the age of 12! I got ferrets. They have been a planned thing for a while now ever since Jen said we could get them in the flat, and after checking that Kat wasn't allergic. Infact it was when we went to smoosh some fuzzies in her face and check for allergies that we found these two ( Read more... )

i call animals odd names

I knows me Pratchett, so would never call an animal anything I'd be embarrassed to yell out the back door at midnight. Big dogs make short names even more important - "Tara, Nose Off!"

So "Daddy's Little Angel", "Monster Pup", and "Wuffly Boy" are strictly affectionate things we say, and in no way do the animals answer to these names...

No idea when we'll get round to meet the tuberats, but will doubtless be sooner rather than later. Might help if I knew where you live, beyond "Edinburgh".

Cheers,
Graham

Can't see anything wrong with calling Scuzzbucket out the back door at midnight! And this can be shorted to Scuzz if you need to shout at him for being naughty! not to mention it can be extended to Mummy's-cute-ickle-Scuzzy-Wuzzy-fuzzy-kitten if you're feeling sickly sweet! :)

Similar for Weasleybeast - beast for short and something just as long and sickly sweet if required! :D

I love the names! :D

Oh, no criticism intended. Just pointing out my manly lower embarrassment threshold. Anyway, I'd be worried that some passerby would think I was shouting "scuzzbucket" at them, and get all offended.

Cheers,
Graham

Yeah, i don't call animals cute things (other possibles was stinkalot and ninja for the albino), just more odd and always make them shortenable... ie: Scuzz and Weasley one of whom is starting to recognise his name already. If i'm shouting a ferrets name out the back door at midnight i'm a lot more worried that its become road kill somewhere anyway- they are very much house weasels, can't train ferrets to not get themselves stuck in things or worse :P though they are getting walks in the links as soon as they have had their vaccines! Really looking forward to that!

Tell you what, i shall get heads together with jen and we can have a collection of the folk round sometime for drinks and DVD's, and of course fuzzets :P
