A comment on my last post reminded me that I never told you all about how I met Matt Bomer. Some of you saw the pics on Facebook, but I never actually told the whole story

Ha ha, I think you acted the way I would act, trying to be all sneaky and surreptitious before just going for it. Thanks for posting the story! It's a fun story. And a good picture. When's the wedding?
I can not convey to you how horrible the feeling in the pit of my stomach was when I picked up my phone and heard your frantic, high-pitched voice speaking too fast for me to make out a single word. I'm not even going to list the possibilities I thought of for what was wrong.
"Nothing's wrong, everything is so right!"
So. Funny.
You see, on the show he often wears this brown fedora, slightly off-kilter, and it works on him like no hat has ever worked on anyone ever.
It's brown? Huh. I've always seen it as black.
I still haven't watched last night's ep. It's litchrilly the thing I'm most looking forward to in life right now. But I'm still on campus doing work :(
Just thought I'd chime in and say: the premise didn't appeal to me at all either. I was very upset when I found out he wouldn't be back on Chuck and that he'd be doing a crime/FBI kind of show instead. I don't like procedurals and Crime of the Week shows. But I like Bomer so much that I decided to give the show a try, and I was amazed at how much I liked it. The characters are genuinely fun and likeable, and the relationship that's developed between Peter and Neal is so adorably...adorable.
Of course, it may very well not be your taste. But I just wanted to let you know that it's different from what it seems like it would be just from reading the description.
It's not the procedural aspect that bores me. I love Bones and Burn Notice is one of my favorite shows. It's the whole he's such a brilliant criminal that only he can help the FBI (or whatever organization it is). I just find that notion tired.
Also, I am just watching too many shows at the moment to add on anything else. I only watch an hour a day (2 on the weekends) and currently I am juggling at least 12 different shows.
Yikes, 12 is a lot. Yeah, you don't want to add another.
But just to respond to your first point: I get what you mean. But one of the best things about this show is that Peter, the FBI agent, is just as smart as Neal, and he can be just as sneaky. So it's not a case of bumbling FBI agent and smooth, brilliant criminal. It's just that Neal has a lot of inside information and experience that the FBI can benefit from.

and his amazing wardrobe which hangs on him in a way that makes you think clothing didn't know what to do with itself before it met Matt Bomer
is hilarious. I predict it will catch on as a saying. "She was on him like clothes on Matt Bomer."
