Unfortunately I've always been under the impression that CSB students (in general)were either there because they didn't have the grades/money/connections/all of the aforementioned to get into DLSU, or that these were people who were going to college mainly because of pressure from their parents (i.e. "I'm just here because my parents want me to have a degree. I'm actually already guaranteed a job regardless of what I do here at my parent's company"). Perhaps this was in part because I'd heard that one or two celebrities attended CSB.

that's half-true, in my opinion. hehe. except for the money part... nakakatakot tuition sa CSB.. that's why MMA students have top-of-the-line equipment and hotel and restaurant management people have nice kitchens and chocolate rooms... :P
some or most of the students in CSB (generally speaking) are run-of-the-mill/bottom of the barrel i-don't-give-a-shit-about-academics type who flunked subject after subject in high school... but when they get to CSB they excel with their chosen major because that's what they like doing... you can ask them to direct films or name and illustrate the various art movements but they can't tell you what the pythagorean theorem is... i have to admit i may be one of those who contribute to CSB's "bagsakan ng mga bagsak" stigma as i didn't get accepted to DLSU myself (due to lack of stellar high school grades) ( ... )

CSB is pretty good naman when it comes down to it. it's just not the academic institution la salle (or ateneo or UP) is. as ramon_rmla said, we have better things to do lang than memorize scholarly, academic stuff. just ignore your minors and concentrate on your majors. :P
thanks for the link! i bookmarked it. i love browsing through sites like those :9
