I first watched Mulholland Drive whilst hopped up on pain killers (post-surgery).
I was highly traumatized.
Haven't been able to watch it since, therefore the piecing together never happened.

Hah, probably not a good idea watching it in that state... It was a haunting movie. I'm thinking David Lynch has that effect with all of his movies. But once you watch it a couple more times, it's not so bad.

i hear if you watch the director's cut of donnie darko, it makes much more sense, because the scenes they initially cut out are actually pretty important to understanding the story.
but that's just what i heard.

I think I did watch the director's cut... I can't imagine how confused I'd be if I saw the original. I'm just going to do a lot of research on it because I'm a nerd.

I actually have City of Lost Children on hold, but I never realized it was also directed by Jeunet... What a nice surprise!

Anyway, I love Mulholland Dr. just because it's such a mind f*ck. That's the only film I've seen by Lynch, so I'll have to watch some of his others. That one that you mentioned, I'm going to take a wild guess and say it's Darkened Room? If it isn't, once you find out the name, do let me know
