aw. that looks amazing, julie-bear! is that the bridge from halifax to dartmouth? (or something like that. i dont remember anymore!) :p that toll bridge that takes you into halifax? i dont remember either....i just remember it seemed like halifax had a lot of tolls. haha.
how is life in halifax??? are you homesick yet??? are you freezing??? what area are you living in? how's work? i'm considering a move to vancouver, but i have no idea where to start! so many things it seems, to get started! what if i dont like it? what if can survive on my own? what if i do fine the first few months and then end up living paycheque by paycheque? what if i starve? hahahaha.
sincerely, amie-bear!
(you just randomly popped into my mind when i saw halifax on the news and i was thinking, "hmmmmm. i wonder if she still blogs!")
My friend, I am actually back in Toronto! I lasted a total of 3 months in Halifax. Definitely no regrets in going, very cute little city, but I suppose all the things you said were right. I suppose, if I must suppose. :)
This is actually a drawing of the Brooklyn Bridge. The bridges in Halifax aren't this pretty!
Vancouver! That is really exciting. I have a feeling you'd love it there. You'd get the city life, and the beauty of the coast. I don't think you can go wrong. I guess you can do some research and get a feel of how the job economy is going there. If it looks like there's a lot of opportunities, then take the leap! Make an adventure! And if you end up living paycheque by paycheque, well... if you're happy, then that's okay. You'll figure it out, you'll survive, you'll learn how to be frugal. :) You must keep us updated!
ah! julie-bear! you mean you have left halifax for good? you quit your job and returned??? or are you just back for xmas? you know....i want to be 100% sure of what youre saying ;)
i would never ever everrrrrrrrrr live in halifax! it is too tiny for amie-bear. feels more like a small town than a city! me no likey. haha. nice for short visit, but nothing else =D
i am just worried i will run myself into the ground. sign a lease for an apartment, and then get kicked out b/c i cant pay rent. LOL.
