Siwon tells himself that it’s just brotherly love. A comradeship formed between two people over many hard years of working hard and striving to succeed together.
He tells himself that those light touches and the fleeting smiles are for the camera and the ones behind stage are just for practice. Practice.
When they hold hands secretly in the back of the plane he tells himself that it’s because flying makes him nervous.
He tells himself that it’s simply a comforting gesture as he feels a thumb rub against his hand.
When they kiss behind closed doors he tells himself that it’s just left over energy. He knows the high they all get after preforming in front of adoring fans still lingers when they arrive at the hotel. He knows that the two of them are simply getting rid of the energy that’s left over.
The next day he tells himself that he’s not jealous.
He pretends that he’s not close to him on purpose, that he’s not preventing the other members from getting too close.
He denies any romantic feelings when he confronts him later that week.
“I don’t believe in that lifestyle,” Siwon says and tells himself that it’s a look of relief on his face, not a look of rejection.
