Eeteuk can’t take his eyes off of him when they first meet.
It’s disappointing when the other boy doesn’t see him the same way.
He knows Kangin has eyes for someone else.
When Eeteuk discovers they’re going to be in the same group he smiles and laughs and happily hugs him.
He ignores the fake laughter coming from Kangin.
Eeteuk knows he’d rather be with someone else.
“He doesn’t love you!” he yells one night.
They’re both tired and exhausted and Eeteuk knows he has no right to be angry.
They’re just friends.
“Fuck you!” Kangin yells back.
“I’m right in front of you!” he wants to yell but he remains silent as he watches Kangin walk away.
“They’re coming back today?” Eeteuk tries to ignore the excitement in Kangin’s voice.
“Yeah, I’m heading over to Junsu’s place, wanna come?” Eunhyuk pauses for a moment and smiles. “He’ll be there.”
It doesn’t take long before Eunhyuk and Kangin are heading out the door.
“Hyung...”
Eeteuk ignores Sungmin and spends the rest of his night in his room.
“For once I wish the fans were right.”
Ryeowook remains silent as he holds onto his leader and rubs his back gently.
“Wouldn’t it be nice if they were right for once?”
“Eeteuk, I wish you could forget about him,” Ryeowook whispers.
“Me too.”
One day Kangin asks Sungmin why Eeteuk seems so moody lately.
“You really have to ask me something like that?”
Kangin just doesn’t understand.
“You’re both pining after someone that you can’t have,” Sungmin sighs.
“...Who wouldn’t want Eeteuk?”
“Hyung, you’re really dense.”
Kangin never figures it out.
