A moment of worry.

Got my RIF (Reduction In Force) Notice today.  I figured it was coming but it still blows.  This essentially means that I am not promised a job next year.  Last year I was worried but I had trouble taking it seriously since most of it was political grand-standing.  This year there is a significantly more legitimate money problem across the state

Oh, damn it. :( I still hold out hope for you, as the Universe (thus far) has had yo' back. I hope the powers that be won't give you the dreaded (official) slip and start making our kiddies dumber. At the very least, you've got a great support system... so, that's worth a bit of... somethin'.

*Ok. I feel inclined to add one thing: Yes, I understand our government at both levels is bankrupt. I cannot, however, get my brain around the fact that our schools are always affected first. Like what was being discussed in Utah when gas prices sky rocketed and they were saying they couldn't afford gasoline for the buses the children rode. Their "solution"? Just cut one day of school. Of course! ::Thankfully, they didn't implement that freaking fruitloop idea, but doesn't that just encapsulate our attitude toward encouraging our youth to acquire/apply knowledge and a distain of our educational system? ...just sayin'...
