Epic Road Trip/Disneyland Post!

So the trip started at 6am on Wednesday morning. We went to Starbucks to get some liquid energy for the drive and saw Colby there. He wished us a happy trip and we were off! 80->99->58->395. Those four freeways plus lots of fantastic music (some of which was courtesy of Steve, who made us 3 CDs for the trip!) and some random shenanegans (as is a road trip essential) led us to my family in Victorville & Apple Valley.

It was so wonderful to get to see my family. I LOVE my family. I even got to see my cousins Isaac and Ashlee. AND Ashlee's baby, Analiese. She is so adorable! My first little second cousin!!(well, that's the child of one of my first cousins. I have LOTS of second cousins who are my parents' cousins. Big families on both sides)

Sandi and I with the Pineda Tribe. These are my little cousins: Gabriel (7), Arianna and Gianna (5, twins) and Katelyn (4, on my lap). And that's my Uncle Gary in the background.

Me and Some of my cousins in the front yard:
Back Row: Rachel, Isaac, and Gary Front Row: Tori, Ashlee holding Analiese, and Myself.

Adorable Analiese! With my Aunt Susan (left) and Aunt Vicki (right) in the background.

Another picture of the cousins who were there- Back row: Myself, Isaac, Rachel, Tori, Ashlee & Analiese. Front Row: Gary and Joey.
For those interested: Tori & Gary are siblings, Rachel & Joey are siblings, and Issac & Ashlee are half-siblings. Analiese is Ashlee's baby. The only cousins missing are the little ones in the first picture and my brother.

All of us and the patriarch of the family. My grandpa! My Nana was at church or she would have been pictured too. Analiese is his first great grandchild.

Myself, Analiese, and Ashlee.

Then we left for Long Beach to see Sandi's cousins (and my psuedocousins) Fernando and his gorgeous wife, Antoinette. Unfortunately, we never did get that picture with them. But trust me, they're awesome. We stayed there for the next couple days while we went to Disneyland.

Sandi and I ready for Disney Day 1.

We got there 2 hours after the park opened and still got to park in the parking garage. My, how I love the off-season! This is the view that my wonderful little car, Josie, had from the garage. That's the Disneyland Hotel to the right.

I'm too cheap to actually BUY pictures, so this is a picture of our picture on Splash Mountain :) We got SOAKED. The whole right side of my body was wet. Luckily it was a really nice day, so we dried off pretty quick.

Sandi and I enjoyed an overpriced theme park lunch after going on the IMPROVED Space Mountain. Which ROCKS by the way.

It's a Small World, afterall. Here we are in line for the ride. They repainted it for the 50th Anniversary.

That's right. We kissed the Mouse himself :)

More of us and Mickey!

It was so empty that the second time that we went on Pirates of the Caribbean (my favorite ride of all time) we got OUR OWN BOAT. So, needless to say, we sang "Yo Ho" at the top of our lungs (which there is video evidence of...hahaha).
Proof of our own boat:

The Obligatory Castle Picture. Complete with gold 50th anniversary mouse ears :)

We started Disney Day 2 at Sunset Beach. Enjoying the sun, surfers for entertainment, and sand. Then it got too windy and we went back to Fernando's to get ready for California Adventure.

Here we are, ready to go!

The Picture from Tower of Terror. It was my first time on it, and I wasn't even scared. Haha it looks like I'm posing for a picture anywhere other than on a ride that's dropping me 13 stories. After skydiving, I couldn't be scared of it. But it was really fun :)

The flowers out front are changed for the 50th :)

Me, Mickey, and Flowers

Sandi, Me, and the little boy we adopted because his stupid mom plunked him down right in the middle of our picture after walking through the space between us and the nice man taking our picture. I figured that we'd never get rid of other people so we just adopted him.

Yesterday, we drove home from Long Beach. It was a long drive, and I'm happy to be home. I came home to homemade tacos (for Mexican Independence Day!!- a day late, so I could have them) and fell asleep pretty quickly thereafter.
