the untold story

he tale of a man and his never-told story
it never took flight and it never gained glory
many an ear could it grace with its flair
but never it crossed from his mouth through the air
a story with hope and with love and with joy
one riddled with sorrow none else could employ

yet it sits in a mind
a curious can
it no other can find
except for that man
bedraggled by care
he stands in duress?
he'll only lie fair
when he gets his Rest

then what of his story? his candied creation?
must it leave us too, a tandem cremation?
a good that was there, if it had been told,
relinquished its youth to grow futile and old
and what could have been a great treatise for good
is wasted as kindling atop the flamed wood

we all have our own thought that are quite like this:
enlighten us, please; ignorance is not bliss.
