As I watch this political season develop and read the various opinions and ideas out there, I am seeing a theme in a lot of the political discussions and opinions where "electability" is becoming more of a quality versus substance. 1) Do you mind if I quote some of what you wrote in your post? (or maybe all of it ?:-) It really says what I have been trying to get through people's heads much more eloquently than I could say it. If not that is cool. But I DID read it to my co-worker aloud yesterday. :-)

2) Thanks...good article. I just really PISSED off when I listen to people with irrational ideas and knee jerk reactions. I am trying not to get in political wars but I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO close!

I think the acrimonious and emotional tone of our political dialog stems directly from the weird meshing of religion into politics of late. When everyone is focused on the church a candidate goes to, or how their church is voting (note - not religion, but actual church) as a basis for decision, any attempt at logical discourse is bound to go by the wayside ( ... )
