So this is my totally rad new project:

I don't know if I'll be able to complete the painting before the national due date, but I'll definitely be featured in a gallery showing with other local artists at Jack's Bar & Lounge in San jose on April 21st.

Short Story
Man, I haven't used this thing in for-effing-ever. Ah well. Using it now.
I dredged up this short story I wrote back in 2009 or so. I edited it a bit & decided I'd post it here, on my tumblr, & my blog. Hooray.

Baking with Insomnia - Finnish butter cookies
I couldn't fall asleep last night. Again. So I baked cookies! Baking usually tires me out enough to feel like laying down with my eyes closed. I finished these wonderful Finnish butter cookies at a quarter to twelve (yay early!...not like that one night...spiced pear bread at four in the morning). Okay. So. I need to stop being so masochistic and picky when seeing movies based on books. Now, don't get me wrong, Half-Blood Prince was very entertaining and I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, there were things they could have done without and major plot points (and dialogue!) that were ignored. At least they got most of the important bits in... ( Read more... ) -
