No more than ONE WEEK ago we had frost on the ground. Snow in the foothills behind our house {LOTS of snow in the mountains around us, but I don't really count that

it does get a little extreme, doesn't it??

That's an extreme jump. We've gone the other way. Hot last weekend, wet and cold this. *shakes head*
