On my sister's birthday we went for a nice long walk, and this is one of the pictures I took. I just snapped it while walking, and this isn't even cropped. I was so amazed at how it turned out.

Don't hate me. But it's almost 50 degrees and sunny here. Yes, I am TRYING to jinx it. We need some snow in the mountains or this summer is going to be nasty dry.

I know a few of you have been working on scanning in family photos, and it's a project I want to do this year. If anyone has any recommendations for a good scanner, let me know. Some may have noticed I didn't get any Christmas cards out this year. My boxes of cards have gone missing. If I find them in the next day or two, I will still send them out {better late than never} and if they don't turn up, I will be a little bit heartbroken. Our old kitty Susie passed away this weekend. We have had her since John was 3. His best friend {who is now a big scary Marine and also happens to be a kitty lover} says she is in Kitty Valhalla. I agree.

I got a new foster baby yesterday. A little bottle baby that is SO SWEET. Even getting up in the middle of the night to feed her isn't a chore.

Kevin actually named her, which he doesn't usually do. He chose the name Briony {Briony, I hope that's OK with you!}
