Legacy

Our digital legacy distracted me from the real topic.... My real legacy. What will I hand down to the future?

I don't really have any property from the past other than some digital photographs. I don't have any property whether buildings, land, or mineral. Those things belong to my parents. To be fair, they did ask me to take some of them when I ( Read more... )

Every person leaves a legacy by simply existing for however brief. If you did not exist the world would be different.

I understand that there does seem to be this societal need to procreate to fill this void of "legacy", but it's kind of a silly reason to have kids if you ask me.

Maybe I think of it more in terms of time travel from the Star Trek point of view. Going back in time influences things so they shape the future. I mostly try to limit my influence on others and shape decisions for them. The few cases I do try to influence others has led to unexpected outcomes far worse than I would have imagined.
