The Golden Eleven

From George: Choose your eleven favorite musical artists, then your favorite song by each, and provide a link so the world can share in the crème de la crème of your musical tastes. This list is probably different than your eleven favorite songs, which is why you choose the artists first.
  1. Foo Fighters - Everlong
  2. Stone Temple Pilots - Big Empty

Oh, oh, oh! I am watching some of the videos (the ones I'm unfamiliar with) but I love this list! We have similar taste in music, neat! I'll make sure George sees this. He'll like it!

On the drive down, I when Love Me Do came on, I regretted putting Day Tripper. I think I put it because I'd have put Jimi Hendrix as #12 and Day Tripper as a cover by Hendrix is one of my favorites. So its a two-fer.

Weezer, Radiohead, Diana Krall, and Cake all were contenders to be on this list.

I LOVE IT! Great list, Ez. It seems I've learned a little more about you just from this sampling. My favorite inclusion of yours was Yoko Kanno...I didn't recognize it until I saw it's the opener for Cowboy Bebop! Other tracks you can recommend from that band?

I'm not surprised Wenia likes your list; you two have very similar tastes on the darker side. I must give you kudos for Yellow Ledbetter, Sinnerman and Float On as well. =)

"The Real Folk Blues" and "Blue" also from Cowboy Bebop are fantastic. She also did "Rise", the intro for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. According to my brother and his friends, her work for Wolf's Rain is supposed to be good.

To be fair, if I'd done it the week before, then I'd have put John Williams or maybe Kenji Kawai. Because Tank! came up at the wedding, my attention span turned back in that direction.

I listen to a much more diverse selection than this represents, but these are the artists who seem to end have the largest amount of plays because I listen to them so much.

Thanks! Was a little haphazard putting together the list.

Wake Up, Killing in the Name, Calm Like a Bomb, Bullet in the Head, Know Your Enemy are among my favorites. A friend of mine played Rage and Tool nearly constantly. Later the Matrix movies reminded me I liked the music. :)

Def Leppard was the first album I ever bought. Pearl Jam was the second. Metallica was the third. Nirvana was the fourth. :)
