Deleted Scene.

Holy OMGoivjoe;nf;oJGVIfjm!!! I am in LOVE with this scene. This is why I plan on buying the extended version box set of all 8 movies. Because they leave out awesome moments such as these. And I don't care what anyone says, Alan Rickman is perfection.

For some reason, I cannot watch the embed video on my computer. All I see is black square. I don't know if it's hosted on youtube, but if it is, could you perhaps post a link to the vid? I would really love to see it. Thanks

It makes sense why they left it out... Snape's face kind of gives away his feelings right there. But you're right, Alan Rickman does an amazing job with his facial expressions here. He looks so undecided and hurt. I love it.

Yeah I do understand why they took it out but I really want to see an extended version of the movie where they put it back in because it's such a powerful sequence. And Alan's expression is just too captivatingly vulnerable to throw in the heap.

Why the heck did they leave this out? It's a beautiful scene all around - though Alan Rickman is definitely perfection. (Plus, I love how they play with lighting in that part. He's half in the light, half in the dark, then in the dark, and then totally bathed in light. It's gorgeous.)

I guess it makes sense that they took it out because it would give away the fact that Snape didn't want to kill Dumbles to people who had not read the books. But this whole sequence is just too beautiful. Everything about it is really amazing and I of course love seeing Snape's vulnerability.

And yes the way they played with light on Alan's face was just magical. His expression is so powerful that it's captivating to watch for such a long period of time.

Isn't that an extra on the HBP DVD? I mean, when you say "extended version box set of all 8 movies" do you mean they are going to do like LotR and release extended versions with some deleted scenes edited back in?

Well there is no official "extended version box set" available currently. But there are extended versions of many of the other HP movies where they have replaced scenes that have been cut out of the original. I would be VERY surprised if they didn't release an "extended version box set" at some point next year, perhaps for next Christmas since they are guaranteed to make money off of it.

This scene is so poignant and gorgeous. Alan knocked it out of the park.
