Progress on the small dog front: Roadrunner will now sit in the same room with me, as long as I sit very still and quietly in one place. Milkbones. The best way to a dog's heart is through her stomach. :P

Also, try to get Roadrunner to associate you with something positive - like mealtime, walks, a favorite toy, etc. Right now it seems like she sees you as a threat. The easiest of these to do is mealtime. For the next few days, you make sure you're the one putting her food and water bowls out...and make sure she SEES you do it. Then you can build up to squeaking her favorite ball or taking her on walks now and then and she'll warm right up.

Also, if you have something of yours like a sweatshirt or blanket you could give her, maybe she'd get used to your smell.

Thanks so much! I'm trying to work on the food association, which she will occasionally respond to. I really like your idea of letting her have clothing/a blanket of mine that she can use, though; I'll start looking for something!
