Just went for this PHat bike ride, which unfortunately was on top of a hill. It's an old airbase that's now been made into a common (it's Greenham Common Airbase, which is kind of famous). Anyway, it's got awesome bits for mountain biking with crazy bumps and stuff, and lots of trees and stuff to shelter under, and a big flat barren bit 3 miles
