It never ceases to amaze me that the gothic community professes to be incredibly accepting and open-minded and yet is staunchly close-minded toward Christians. It has gotten to the point where I dread someone discovering my religion because I will immediately be regarded as mentally deficient. I definitely sympathize. I'm going to some art opening tonight with a girl who's explicitly interested now, but I'll be counting the seconds until she realizes I really am serious about my religion and suddenly casts me off.

I don't understand people sometimes. I really don't.

Religion doesn't necessarily make a person. It is a part of a person, but it isn't like if you are Mormon or Muslim, you fit the same mold as other fellow practitioners.

Honestly though, you don't want to go on dates with your aforementioned guys anyway. Better to find out before the 1st date then after the 5th.

Try the metal community. It always worked for me. :)

Watch the South Park Gothic episode. That will give you a laugh as well.

Change perceptions. If they can't handle it they are not as secure with themselves as you are. They shouldn't judge you on your religion or the ungrad place you attended. If they do you can raise your middle finger to the sky and tell them they need some god damn religion in thier fucked up life.
