Quick thought on copyright snarls and registration
So currently in the US copyrights are automatic and not required to be registered, due to the US having entered into the Berne Convention. This leads to terrible copyright snarls where one person wants to use something of someone else's but they can't even determine who holds the current copyright to talk to about it ( Read more... ) -

So, I basically stopped really caring about Star Wars a while back, but Noelle organized an expedition to see The Force Awakens today, so I went and saw it. It was OK? There were substantial parts that didn't make a lot of sense, or at least weren't sufficiently clarified, so I'm basically going to complain about it here.
