So, one of my best friends is turning 21 this Wednesday... My sister is planning this big thing with going to some bars and dinner and just...yeah. but, for my 21st birthday I got to go to dinner with my family, not even where I wanted to go, and with family I don't even really like. yep, i gave up on birthdays years ago. it wasn't too hard since i didn't care much for them as a kid either. i've also given up on christmas.

I offered to take you out for your 21st and you didn't want to go. I even offered for you to just come to my house and drink. You didn't want to do that either.
The only reason I got to go out for my birthday is because Aunt and Uncle were down here getting the boys. They didn't make a trip just for me. If they had been in town 'by chance' for yours they would have taken you out also. For the record, it was the only 'big' birthday I celebrated.
And if that is why you won't come out with us for her bday it's a pretty shitty reason.

that certainly is not the reason I'm not going. it's because I have NO money. in fact, at this point i have less than zero.

We'll do something for your birthday. While it wasn't the day of, I did enjoy taking you to see Sweeney Todd up in Park City. :)
