What is time?

Is it the minutes that pass by so swiftly? Is it the smiles brought to a face of a stranger? Is it the quiet space in the night spent reading or writing? Is it the days spent doing the same monotonous work day in and out? Or is it the years the drift ever on ward seeming to flyby and yet drag the same time? Why is time so important?

Time is the currency of life. We measure our progress by time spent. We measure our worth by the time we have spent on a project, at a type of job on our partners or on our selfs. But what is time besides the numbers that someone thought up to count the space between breaths and steps. To count the seasons cycles. What makes it worth while or important ? Who decides if it was wasted or treasured?

We spend our life's by the measure of time. When young it's the time between eating that is counted or time for school and then free time that is looked ever forward to. Through youth you look onward to the time that adults will listen to you. To the time when your grown and have life by the horns. Then when you become of age you realize that time has yet not arrived where you have this thing life figured out. Time is looked forward to dreaded and even actively avoided. But who remember to treasure the time we have now? Most forget the most import time is NOW. This moment this space. Not at five end of work or the next weekends big game or big adventure you spent the year planing but the moments that count are those all around and in the space of time now!

Time is the currency of a life. How you spend it make you the person you are. Ultimately each person themselves are the judge of their own time and in our last moments we will know weather it was wasted or cherished. So stop listening to outside forces and options and learn to listen to your own inner self because that is what matters most. You decided if your time your currency of life is to be treasured or wasted!
