Today is my father's 60th birthday. We're celebrating it here in Boston at my sister's new apartment. Up until this point my trip out here to visit my family has been wonderful. My mother and father are talking again, and they haven't been fighting more than the usual banter. My sister is doing wonderfully, and is very excited to be in her new home

I think Kim gave you the best advice I could give: trust your own judgement. The people who sent you over there, and the people who keep you over there, are fucking insane. You can't trust them to do the right thing, so do what you have to do to stay whole and sound. The world needs more people like you, and fewer like them.

Your sister was one of the coolest people I'd ever met and I still kind of think that even if she was kind of judgemental even back then.
I hope your parents are doing well, please give them my love. They where some very amazing people and I wish them the best.
Take care of yourself and don't let life mess with you to much, the random public's over opinion of its-self is highly overrated to begin with. Then again I'm a bit of an outcast myself who marches to a different beat, so I guess I don't have much room to talk.
