I would say school is not your thing, clean and simple. You can't get motivated by something you don't enjoy and no matter how many people try to convince you it won't work. Have you looked at/visited univerisities? When you find the university that makes you say WOW and it becomes a place you can't wait to go, then you will be motivated to improve your GPA. You will finally have something to work towards and look forward to. In the mean time think about what you would like to study and how if your grades suck you won't be able to get into a place that allows you to do so. That's the best I have my little Fami :)
