Hmm.. I guess the worst I've experienced is when they started sending out the letters.

[ It's better for Riza to know about it too, either way. ]

Most people suddenly got a letter one day that threatened their loved ones unless they would kill another one of Mayfield's residents they got assigned. And.. in the end, it was just a whole chain of people here killing each other.

And..did they threaten loved ones in town, or just make broad threats to anyone?

A few months back. I suppose it was May or so. [ Her voice does harden a bit at the mention of the whole deal. ]

And they threatened both loved ones inside and outside the town.. They threatened my husband, even though he wasn't in Mayfield yet back then.

That's horrible. And...it isn't easy to ignore their threats, even if we know they aren't true.

[Personal experience in this department, though the experience is from home and not from here.]
