Edit:
so "earth hour" is happening right now, and its kind of funny, i live with a bunch of hippies, and there are MORE lights on in the house than i have ever seen (and no one is in the room using them) I have all my appliances off except my computer, because frankly, i will fall asleep if i dont have anything to do. and i cant read because i have no candles. maybe ill go find some.
Anthony says its really bright in los angeles too (meaning they didnt dim any street lights or billboards like they usually do)
I also dont feel so bad because i have been participating in what i like to call "earth year" for the past 3 years, since one of my majors is conservation biology. haha jk. im really not sure how i feel about earth hour, my teachers all say its kind of a step backwards (i cant remember why) , but i say anything that encourages awareness is a good call
