i got to school this morning and the whole campus parking lot was closed and there were horses running around everywhere...by 11am there was about 30 booths and a concert and free food and facepainting and a farmers market.

30 booths concert and free food? People are dying of a virus, indirectly because it’s being passed through community spread, frequently via community events such as festivals and celebrations. I think you have to question the values system that supports gathering at a time like this when we are struggling to have enough capacity to care for people in the hospitals... unnecessary hospital stays are extremely wasteful, and staying home prevents the use of fossil fuels. If they knew what was good for the environment, they would have stayed home.

I think you would agree that this did not help the environment, unless you’re one of those messed up people who believe that man is the single most destructive force on the earth, and therefore must be eliminated, aka the more dead the merrier... But I don’t think those people like concerts and celebrations.
