You can get a double major, I know you can, because I'm planning on doing it. Have you talked to an advisor? They won't let you if the majors are too similar sometimes, but I'm planning on anthro/linguistics (ugh, double major + double minor). Anyhow, enjoy your break, I'm jealous, I want to go abroad. Have fun with all that!

What she's talking about though is that you can't double major with to BAs. There are some university guidelines that say that if you double major, you have to have one BA and one BS. Maybe you can get around it but I dunno...

Weird, I know there's a way around it because I have friends getting two BA's. Where did you find the rule?

You're allowed to get a BA in Education as well as another BA. The BA in Ed counts separately. Also, there are combined majors like Sociology/Social Studies as one.

You can see the rules in the advising book on page 10 here:
http://www.wwu.edu/advising/advisor%20resources/Advising%20Handbook%202005-2006.pdf

(Sorry I didn't make the link all pretty, I forget how....)

I have meetings with my advisors when I get back to talk about transferring credits from study abroad, so I'll check everything out with them, but it's not looking too good. Thanks for your input, though, I really appreciate it!!
