At the request of
asthenie_vd here is the analysis of the layout of
The Musketeers garrison (yes, I spent way too much time thinking about it and making caps ^^).
First of all, I made a map of the courtyard:
The main gateway:
Which goes outside, probably to the training yard on the left:
Now, on to the courtyard.
On the left are the stables, the door between the two stables leads to the common room.
Now to the right side of the courtyard:
I have no clue where the big gateway on the left leads or the door next to it (maybe to the kitchen?). But the door on the right is where treville is showelling shit in episode 2x06 ;-)
Now, back to the main gateway. Left of it there is an archway (no clue where it goes) and another bigger gate.
Up the stairs, on the balkony it looks like this:
The right door leads to - among other things - Trevilles office.
The left door looks like it's never ben used - and it has never been used in the series ^^
Here we goe inside.
I don't know what behind the other three doors is, but this is the known layout upstairs:
(btw: if you think about it, the inside doesn't really fit to the outside/courtyard layout)
The right door goes to the corridor, the left doof to the armory:
That room is ridiculous! I mean, he is supposed to be the third man in the state and all he has is one room with a very small bed and hardly any furniture for personal belongings???? (Well he only seems to have two sets of clothing anyway and probably sleeps in his office to be close if a musketeer needs him). I really don't understand, why the show doesn't want to give Treville a private life!
The armory:
And the powder room (hard to see, but I couldn't get any better picture):
I know it seems like D'Artgagnan and Contance slept in Treville bed on their wedding day (at least I thought it the first couple of times I watched that episode *g*) but it has to be in another room upstairs, with a bigger bed and nice shades and stuff....
In season 2, the common room was introduced. It is where Lemay tried the dream poison, where Treville was brought when he was wounded and the spanish General was questioned.
And last but not least we have a room that is seen twice and in my opinion belongs to Athos (or one time it is Athos' and one time Aramis', but I don't think so)
I hope you enjoyed this post and maybe this helps with your fanfiction! :-)
