The shadow of Tritter looms larger and larger over Dr. House and company.
I thought the Tritter arc advanced nicely in this episode. Tritter's pressure drove Dr. Wilson to shut down his practice. House started feeling pain in his shoulder. All three of House's staff members denied him a prescription for pain medication (although Dr. Foreman probably would have denied him the prescription with or without the pressure). Bad vibes abounded. With such a solid setup, I'm expecting great things next week.
The medicine wasn't really the focus of the episode. I thought the patient's ultimate decision was understandably selfish. He had had a difficult situation thrust upon him when he was much too young and it wore him out. I thought Foreman's remarks afterward took the edge off what was a downbeat end to the treatment.
Watching Dr. Cameron administering the stress test was pretty funny. Good thing the patient was relatively young; otherwise I think she would have needed to let House tag in. And the patient's outburst of blood was amusing as well. It almost looked like a Saturday Night Live sketch. I have to also give credit to the Sherlock Holmes reference -- "The game is a itchy foot" -- although it's hard to get past the poor grammar.
Why did all three of the doctors have to be in the steam room with the patient?
