Dr. House sees a way to let his patient help him!

This episode did a pretty good job of balancing meaty character scenes with medical action. We had Dr. Cameron and Dr. Chase agreeing to be friends with benefits, Dr. Foreman returning to the single life, Dr. Cuddy failing to escape the single life, all as an incredibly exotic disease stumped everyone.

I was so happy to see Dr. Wilson bust House for trying to use the lead patient as a source for parts to cure his own chronic pain. Wilson may not like being House's conscience, but I think he knows no one else is really stepping up to the plate.

I liked the misery contest that House and the lead patient had. Even better was the way House turned it to his advantage, injecting the sedative when she turned around to show him a butt scar.

Damn ... that was a big tapeworm.

The ending was the weakest part. If the writers wanted us to give a rat's ass about Foreman's breakup with the nurse, they should have given her a little more screen time. And Cameron's offer to strike up a sexual relationship with Chase was too weirdly dispassionate for me. While I recognize that Cameron isn't exactly a smooth operator, I would have liked the line delivery to not be in the same tone of voice as one would use for suggesting which movie to rent off Netflix. In any case, I have to award the show a few points for recalling their previous tryst.

"Insensitive," by the way, is such an awesomely appropriate name for an episode of this show. That's House in a nutshell. The only way I can think of to do better is have a show where the lead patient has muscle spasms and call it "Jerk."
