The episode of House was considerably more focused on the topic of urine than I would have really preferred.
Don't get me wrong -- I rather enjoyed the episode. I just wouldn't have minded it if less time had been devoted to urine. It starts off with Dr. House merely being unable to drain the lizard. Eventually, we get to the scene of him catheterizing himself. And for the coup de grace, Dr. Chase (in a dream sequence) slips on an enormous lake of House's urine. I guess I should be thankful that we didn't have to contend with any anal bleeding from the patient.
I did like the juicy bit at the end where Dr. Cuddy chides House for not being over her. This great look came over her face as she exulted over the power she still holds over him.
The relationship between Dr. Cameron and Chase is fine, although it doesn't pack the kind of chemistry it really ought to. The scene where she propped her legs up on the desk after Chase rebuffed her come-on came off as some kind of weird, subtle parody; most scenes like that involve the woman wearing a very short skirt and fuck-me pumps, not pants and shoes that don't really send out any kind of sexual message. I did think it was clever of her to later confess to Dr. Foreman exactly what was going on, knowing that the explanation would be deemed unbelievable.
I thought it was funny when House asked the patient, "HAVE YOU EVER APPEARED IN ANY PORNOS?" Marc Blucas isn't a bad-looking guy; it would not have been outrageous if that really had been the explanation for why House recognized him.
