A doctor does something crazy on House ... but not in a good way.

The exotic diseases doctor poisoned a patient in order to spur research into polio. BAM! I never would have seen THAT coming. At least his time on the show concluded with a bang; up to this point, he had really done nothing to make me want to take much of an interest in him. The big reveal turned what was shaping up to be a merely competent episode into one definitely above average.

The CIA storyline was not as interesting as it could've been. The grumpy older doctor had a particularly thankless role. He may as well have been wearing a sign that said "Please upstage me, Dr. House!" The storyline did support the other one pretty well, though; it led us to believe that the operative had been intentionally poisoned, so that just as we were getting used to the idea that he HADN'T been intentionally poisoned, we get slapped upside the head with what the exotic diseases doctor had been up to. And it introduced Dr. Hotness to us, which is a bonus that will keep on giving.

Dr. Cameron has been in her new-and-improved, post-taking-House's-shit mode this season. But when she sat down to talk to Dr. Foreman at the end, she really stiffened up into her old self. It was like a time warp!

House got his share of good lines, including when he offered Dr. Hotness a position on his penis. But the plastic surgeon fired off a nice zinger, informing Dr. Cutthroat Bitch that "shiksas are for practice."

The writers teased us more than usual with the tantalizing diagnosis of lupus. I have to think they're saving it for the series finale, though.

I liked seeing House give Foreman some public props at the end.
