Still Bill and Laura. Never getting their shit on the same page. lol. Laura denies herself so much here. The chance at something, hell, the chance at anything! And poor Bill. I was thinking about how it must feel to run around Galactica with a silent cloud of 'I Love Laura' that everyone can see it because it seeps from the cracks in his armor.

I think Laura is in such a difficult place in the beginning of season four, even before they find out that Earth is teh suck. All of her fears have been brought to the foreground, and she's so used to dealing with her problems and personal fears by detaching herself. And then you have Bill. Who loves with his whole being. It's got to be both revolutionary and batshit terrifying for her.

Y'know, I always thought Laura was a remarkably strong person, but put into the context of willingly resisting that, her willpower is astonishing.

Their story really is both gorgeous and tragic. I'm so happy that you are enjoying this story. I adore these two characters and really hope to do them some bit of justice.

My favorite part of this amazing chapter is that Laura can't come at the end. She is coping with the crushing weight of her denial, not to mention the reality of the physical stresses of her illness on her body. No matter how much she wants the release, I love that she can't find it. That's so very real to me. Even when our heart is in it, the body does not respond. Thank you for making her pain and challenges so real.

Bring on the next installment! I know you will continue to amaze. :)

:P I know why you want the next chapter. You have read this many times after all.

I think it's not only her body in this instance for Laura. I think it's also her mind. She's still too wary, too scared to let herself take what she wants and accept what Bill wants to give her. The subconscious is a powerful thing.
