You are so talented. You capture the emotions of Laura and Bill so well wihtout over doing it and completely in character.
I am completely amazed at the quality of your writing. I definitely will favorite your fiction on SI, so that I do not loose it.
I am in the process of writing a fiction myself (completely different story) and quite honestly I wish I would reach the level of writing that you have. You are an inspiration.
Phenomenal work....

Will you stop making me teary!!!! I loved this chapter too. I do love Laura's description of Bill and his appeal. I love how she fell asleep on his couch and he just stroked her feet and then read to her. He's the best boyfriend ever. And I also like the thought of him sleeping in the rack now and then. Looking forward to the next chapter.

I just love Bill. He's so sincere and loyal and trusting and giving and, despite all his faults, a truly wonderful man. I'm so glad you enjoyed the little details in this chapter. Thank you so much for the lovely feedback.

Wow. It's so sad to picture them living together, knowing exactly how they feel about each other and knowing that the other feels the same, and not being able to do anything about it because they're both (well, mainly Laura) so stubborn and scared. So close yet so far away, indeed. The tenderness he displays towards her makes me ache, and her fears and desperation just make me want to give her a hug! I'm really loving this story.

I think that Laura, especially pre-Hub Laura, has such a hard time admitting her vulnerabilities even to herself. Emotion can be an enormous weakness, especially for someone in power and someone who is ill. She needs to compartmentalize herself in many ways and Bill just does things to her that she doesn't quite know how to handle. He loves with his whole heart and there's no stopping him.
