I've always wanted to see the effect that Tyrol's freakout must have had on Bill. Thanks for doing it! It just seemed like poor Bill was pathetically happy to have someone going through the same thing as he was, and Chief wouldn't play along.
I'm so happy that you've found this tale true to the series. I really wanted it to be something that you could slot in between the scenes and embellish the story we saw onscreen. And give them more togetherness than they got. ;)
I think that drunk!Bill started for real reasons. I don't like drunk!Bill but I can see how it developed over time. When you consider what he was facing, and what he was facing essentially alone, it just breaks my heart. It's unsurprising that he ended up the way he did.
Every once in a long while a sentence will come along which makes you stop and say 'yes, that's the essence of the character,' a sentence that jells every thought you've had about him. Brava for writing the most essential Bill Adama sentence I've ever read.
Wow, that's a really lovely thing to say. That sentance really sums up Bill in my eyes, and I'm so happy that you feel the same way. He's such a wonderful character. I absolutely adore him.
Thank you so very much. I'm so glad that you found such meaning in that line.
Exactly. They are just drawn together, no matter how much they try to do otherwise. I think thank this time period would really have solidified this in Bill's mind.

I agree. I think Bill was really hoping for a bit of a kindred soul in that moment. And then just got de-nied.
Thanks!
