poor feet! they will hurt less once they get used to it - but do you know if you have flat feet/fallen arches? i do, and supportive shoes* or putting insoles with arch support in (like superfeet green) can make a big difference.
*e.g. i love my biker-style docs, but even with good insoles they let my feet slip about and so they are murder to walk or stand in for long periods.
aw that sounds fun, aside from that. but that's totally how i felt when i was working at duane reade ughhhhhh at least you get a discount on halloween stuffs? are you dressing up for halloween/have a costume in mind?
i am late commenting, but i'm trying to get back into the swing of livejournal. congrats on the new job! standing on your feet all day really does suck, but you will sadly get used to it before too long.
and yay, not being afraid to interact with people! that's something i had to learn how to adapt to when i became a manager at my job, i'm now 100% trained in dealing with people and bullshit when i need to! (or faking it for as long as i need to, at least.)
...though not being able to be lazy is a pretty steep price to pay, haha.
thank you, kaden! :D you should share some dealing-with-bullshit tips, just in case. ;P so far no one's been awful, but as it gets closer to Halloween, I'm sure that will change. sob.
