...is freaking addictive. I started playing on Sunday, and right as I apparently asked a female astronaut to marry, apparently you have to move in first. How modern! So when I tried to marry, I was controlling the woman (Holly Anderson) to propose marriage to my character using my real name. Well apparently since my character was asked, he lost ( Read more... )

Yes, it is a fantastically (sp?) addictive game. My woman bought me two expansions recently, Universrity and Open for Business (which features Knight outfits by the way, and castle decorations...).

You don't HAVE to have someone move in to marry, it's just easier that way. Mortimer is pissed 'cause you're looking at him through your telescope during the day, use it only at night and that won't happen. Get the vacuum reward if you want to get just deserts on him and suck out his aspiration points, ect. The University expansion has a reward for the Natural Science job that gives you a man-eating plant a-la Little Shop of Horrors that you can use on him for a kill, too!

Yeah I thought about getting expansions, but I guess Im not ready yet. However, I will befriend Mortimer, move him in, and he will die in a shack of fire like I used to on the original Sims. As for the aspiration rewards, Rightbringer Light only uses the Elixir of life, and I think mathematically he can live forever, granted his fortune aspiration keeps me broke and full of expensive stuff, yet I don't think there is a penalty for selling as soon as I buy.

I found out you don't have to kill your "easy money" sim... they just have to move in, then move out and start over... I should be at my castle in no time.

You can build a flying castle if you want...just build a second floor, with stairs and all, then erase the first floor by selling it piece by piece. It's rocking.
