good call on the air force, a buddy of mine is a staff sergent (sp) over in okinawa and he's loving it. and really, gamestop sucks, yet i still work for them after a year with a new job...

I don't mind Gamestop at all, it is a great 2nd job, but I could never afford to work there alone.

Dude...nothing personal...but I try to dissuade everyone I know from joining the military. They'll treat you so badly wherever they send you. I'm really violently opposed to the government's treatment of our soldiers, not just in Iraq but throughout American history. I believe government officials have private agendas, and you might end up giving up your life to a corrupt cause because they saw you as just a percentage of a death toll and not a human being with an entire life planned out. I'd be terrified to become expendable ammunition for the military forces.

I want to be expended. That is part of duty most people still fail to realize. However, I'm not going to be a front line grunt or commander anyway... I'm much to big of a target. I was thinking more in the medical wings, antibiotic research, more in the military science track. Besides, I need money for grad/vet school and I am praying this is my ticket out of Tallahassee. I don't hate it here, I just want a change. Even North Dakota sounds good.
