I find this class somewhat offensive. It's a class on Human Sex and Sexuality. They went straight for the binary description and hold it up to explain everything about the different gender identities. The teacher is using Jungian psychology to explain how people feel inherently masculine or feminine. "What about androgyny??" someone asked, and ( Read more... )

wow. ok WOW. Did this woman just crawl out of the ass of 1950 or something? This is hilarious because we just did this unit in my gender differences and health class. We basically discussed the opposite. We talked about Transgendered and Intersexed people and how having a binary system of gender in our society excludes them and severely impacts their health. we also discussed ways to potential affect change in society despite how ingraned gender roles are in everything we do. not really what you're saying. but yes. what she's saying invalides the genderbending people. The Jung relationship talk is total crap. I've only ever had Jung psychology in a hisorical perspective of psychology. I don't think any relationships can work like that in the context of today's society.

That said.

I'm disapointed in California. I would expect that in central PA... but not Cali. *thumbs down*

this is pretty sickening. I feel this a diy manual to becoming a southern belle or her strapping young gentleman. This warrants this instructor to not be teaching.ever. ew. I hope no one in the class is buying it.
