Our dentist offices are much more explicit: HERE, HAVE MEDICAL ILLUSTRATIONS OF WHAT HAPPENS INSIDE YOUR TEETH ON THE WAITING ROOM. Why yes that thing that looks like a Gradius Boss is eating your mouth at the moment. and that bug that has an anthropomorphic head is chipping your teeth away. Oy is that an exploded tooth castle with green and mauve stuff all over why yes it is c:

Oh god that sounds horrific. But as weird as it sounds I would almost prefer the explicit medical diagrams, abstract blobs of white and red and pink in those paintings just freak me out, like "HERE IS A BLURRY PHOTOGRAPH OF PINHEAD PERFORMING ORAL SURGERY"

Well on the diagrams there are bugs who do look like PinHead as well :s

The guy I saw today downplayed the YOU SHOULD BRUSH BETTER thing because I haven't gone in so long, and ALSO he was able to show me how awful my teeth were via the computer hooked up to the tv monitor in the room. Ick.

I am just really puzzled at how my one jackass dentist was a CHILD SPECIALIST, and pretty much all the others have been really nice and patient.

My dad and I went in at the same time today so now we're both horrified at how much our next visits are going to cost. Ouch.
