I'm feeling quite pleased with myself, as I told my PhD supervisor I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and behind with work, as I wanted to be sending her a full draft today of my chapter but it just isn't ready. For the past few days although I go to bed at a reasonable(ish) time, I'm sleeping much more than my usual 8 hours a night. In fact it was nearer 10 last night. I think my body is entering a winter hibernation but surely it's far too early for such things. Can anyone offer any advice on how to sleep less? I've a 15,000 word chapter to have a draft completed by the 10th/ 11th September, so far it's going a little too slowly for my liking. I'm curious to hear what ways others get into their writing and how they make it move along quicker. I'm trying the write c.1,500 words per day, as then I'll get to the word limit and have time to tweak it around ( Read more... )
