I looked up pics of the angel trumpet. What an amazing plant! What color is yours? I think you'd like the book I'm reading, The Botany of Desire by environmental "it" author Michael Pollan. He's great and the book offers a unique perspective on the relationship between humans and plants, specifically domesticated species (and nature in general).
I totally believe that stat about cabs. I've never had an easy time catching one in NYC. I took one the other week and the cabbie told me he was the longest-driving cabbie in the city (something like 37 years). Boy did he look it. He kept dabbing his eye with a hankie because it was leaking.
I plan to on Saturday, when the this summer's final five additions go in (two delicious, two nauseating). Then the little garden will be more or less complete.
