It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Today we went to a Christmas fundraiser for underprivileged kids & then put up some lights on the eaves of our house, so I'm feeling jolly...how about a Christmas meme?

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? For Christmas, wrapping paper, though I'm typically really lazy about wrapping gifts for birthdays and the like.
2. Real tree or artificial? When I was little we always cut down our own tree. The last few years since I was living in apartments, we had artificial. This year we're back to real! Yay!
3. When do you put up the tree? The day after Thanksgiving.
4. When do you take the tree down? Well, technically we kept our tree up till June last year, oops. I was just too lazy to take it down.
5. Do you like egg nog? Not at all. Yuck.


6. Favorite gift received as a child? Probably Amber, the giant teddy bear with a bell in it's tale that I got when I was 7. It was approximately the size of me and pretty much my best friend, haha.
7. Hardest person to buy for? Alex's dad. He pretty much buys whatever he wants for himself already.
8. Easiest person to buy for? Alex. He's easy to please.
9. Do you have a nativity scene? Nope.
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Definitely mail.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? I once received red suede pants from my grandma. Luckily she included a gift receipt.
12. Favorite Christmas movie? Elf.
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? After Thanksgiving, although if the perfect gift popped up before that I wouldn't hesitate to buy it early.
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Only for those gift exchanges where you bring old stuff.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? My aunt Vicki's scotcharoos.
16. Favorite Christmas song? "Mary Did you Know?" It makes me cry every time.
17. Travel at Christmas or stay home? We've always traveled up to my aunt's house in Chicago. I like traveling on Christmas, it reminds me of being a kid again.
18. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Ummm, probably not, haha.
19. Angel on the tree top or a star? Angel when I was little. This year I might just go with some of those sticky outy sparkly things.
20. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Christmas eve and save one special one for Christmas morning.
21. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Driving in bad weather.
22. Favorite ornament theme or color? I like bright Christmas decorations like lime greens and chartreuse with a bright red or even pink.
23. Favorite for Christmas dinner? Rice consomme.
24. What do you want for Christmas this year? Ummmm, I'm not sure. Maybe a new camera?
