A sense of longing lingers on Yamada's shoulders. Lingering like a broken dream that one holds onto because they still believe in it. His eyes were lifeless, as if all the joys in life vanished like life being taken away forever. The brown orbs look at the piece of paper in his hands.
Contemplating for a good few minutes, he reachs for the phone and dials in the numbers. Beeps ran through his ears as he patiently waits for the person he longs for to pick up.
"Hello?"
"I miss you..."
"I miss you too."
"This will be the last time we talk."
"Why?"
"Because these final words I'm about to say will ruin our friendship forever."
"How can they ruin it?"
"...I love you." Yamada hung up.
He knew rejection was painful. Like a stab in the heart that never heals. This was for the better. Yamada couldn't take not telling him those words. The sense of longing for him still lingers on him. He knew this was for the better. Yamada finally said it. The answer might just be too painful to him, but it was better to have told him than humiliate himself by confessing to him when it was too late. When he would be in a loving relationship...
