I promised her I wouldn't let anything go any farther than it already has. I didn't know that holding hands would upset her. She's the one who dumped him.

But it sucks so much to keep a promise.

I think you need to sit down and have another talk with her. If the relationship is over, especially by her say so, than she needs to be able to accept that. While I think it is very good that you are trying to be mindful of her feelings, it's not fair for her to have you put your life on hold while she sorts herself out emotionally. Now that certainly doesn't mean you should make-out in front of her, but she needs to realize that she and the boy are no longer together, so it really has nothing to do with her.

The thing is that they went out for 2 years. And I promised her I wouldn't let anything happen because I made the mistake of assuming she was over him.

And the thing is, a couple months ago, was when they last broke up. I guess within the past 6 months they were on and off for awhile. I think she thinks she will eventually get back to him.

The only thing is, if I do that to her, or even tell her that it's not fair to me, she'll just think everything's her fault, stop eating, and be depressed, because thats the kind of person she is, else i would have told her it's over a looong time ago.

It feels like Romeo and Juliet.
