Errr... was that letter from YOU? Or someone else? 'Cause I was 13-17 during Reagan's first term, and I KNOW I'm older than you...

We're the same age. (It is from me)

The original letter said "as Ronald Reagan was leaving office." I then got the flu and took Nyquil and went back and re-read my letter before copying it to LJ last night, and "fixed" my math in a weird Nyquilized state. I was right the first time, which is the version I sent.

I turned 17 during his last year, so if you were already 17, you are either right around the same age, or only slightly older.
