We got shiny new lanyards. And the parents made us lunch! It was fantastic!!

My mentors are the greatest, goofiest, most energetic people I have worked with. XD

Oh gosh, this week’s individual project is so frustrating. I’ve been trying to determine what the teacher has wanted for weeks and I’m still not sure I’ve got it down. We started doing the benchmarks for the kindergartners on Friday. BOO. But, I think that they’re going to do their best and I’ll be happy to see how hard they’re working! One of our questions has a donut, says so, and then asks the students to find the first sound. Then it lists “a, s, r” for the beginning sound of donut. We had them cross it out ( Read more... )

Got three and a half hours of my practicum completed! Yes! That’s a pretty good start for the first day. I’ll work slowly on the one-on-one tutoring. It’s hard to tutor k-kids because they have very short attention spans. Ah, so we just finished Radiant Gardens with Terra. I got EXP Walker Ability much sooner this time, so now maybe Cherri won’t be a zillion levels ahead of me. I really like Terra, I feel like he’s so easily used though. Ven was a little defiant, he didn’t want to do things and he’d make up his mind and then you couldn’t change it.
